I used to listen to Prairie Home Companion when I lived in Iowa on National Public Radio and since I moved to Arkansas I have a hard time getting a signal on the radio (they have it on Arkansas public radio here too.) I have found that I can listen to it on my pc at www.kuniradio.com in case anyone else has the same problem. It's on from 5-7 p.m. daylight savings time in Iowa.
There are lots of live radio shows you can listen to via your computer and even live t.v. if you want that. You have to have a media player but you can download Real Player for free. You can also pause it and resume where the program left off if you get interrupted which you cannot do on your radio! Hayhouse has live radio programs also. These are the only ones I know about. Does anyone else know of other good radio programs or stations? There is t.v. also and sometimes when I am doing Ebay stuff or paying bills on my computer I will watch QVC or HSN for free on my pc. Be careful with the shopping channels though! LOL!

Oh and yes Flylady has had a radio show for years. She used to be on something else, like WorldTalk, and I think all those are gone. But, there's several on the blogtalk radio now. :)

Welcome.

One thing I love about the yahoo groups is you can get the OTR completely free. When they have swaps! All you have to do is make a copy and send then cds on to the next person on the list! :)

flylady.net I like her blogtalk radio show.

I also like getting on OTR trading yahoo groups, and trading OTR shows. (OTR-Old Time Radio) One that my husband and I love is The Bickerson's, They are hilarious! We also really like Dragnet. If you want to hear some samples (full radio shows, but not the whole series) you can go to otrcat.com That kind of helps you get a feel for what kind of shows you and your family would/will like.

Yes....I listen to all those shows too....they are great to have a little company while you're working. If I turn on television to keep me company I end up getting in "sucked in" and find myself standing in front of the television with a rag or something in my hands and then all of a sudden wonder how long I've been standing there! I don't do that with radio! LOL!
Thanks for the BBC link too. Any other online links out there? I would LOVE to listen to something from out West! I KNOW I was a cowgirl in my last life! Thanks for your input! One more radio station....now I have 3...I also listen to www.hayhouseradio.com ...it has a lot of self-improvement, spiritual and healing programs. Have a great week everyone!

I listen to NPR news radio. Also on the NPR music station is Click and Clack the Tappett brothers. So funny to listen to them.

I also enjoy Prairie Home Companion. On the news station there are a lot of humorous shows.

I listen to BBC radio online too! I like to listen to BBC Cornwall, it's so fun to hear about the surf report, etc. BBC Radio 7 is good too - it's all talk- comedy, drama, etc.

I always try to catch Wait, Wait, Don't Tell Me on Saturday mornings, as well as Car Talk. If I'm not in the car, I'll catch the podcast online. I also like to see what's up in other areas of the world, and go to BBC radio, especially 3 and 4. Here's a link:

Prairie Home Companion is on while I'm driving to church, and I really like Bob Edward's Weekend. Gosh, there are so many good shows on the radio, aren't there?

Thanks for the station link! I like to l isten to a Prairie Home Companion when I get a chance. I read one of Garrison Keller's books and my Grandma listens to the show all the time in IA.. It's here out of Billings, but I'm to far away for that signal.

Here in MT we have the Cowboy Show with Ken Overcast on Sun from 9-10 am. I like to listen to that. Have found some new people to listen too.
