I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this...but it is a "get together" afterall!

I am so excited and just wanted to share!

Myself and 6 other bloggers (whom I've never met by the way) are all meeting in Manhatten for 5 days 4 nights! The other girls are from The Netherlands, California, Maryland, South Carolina and Queens, NY. We have all made friends through our journals...we send snail mail, birthday & other gifts to one another. We share sad and happy stories, recipes and crafting ideas. SOOOOO...we decided it was time for a meet up!

ON THE AGENDA??? The get Creative NYC in Central park show!!!!! I bought 7 tickets for all of us to go! MARYJANE will be there! Hurray!! I think I am most excited about this! We all got to pick something that we wanted to do...and this was it for me!

Is this an appropriate time to ask her to sign my book?? I'm not sure of the proper etiquette of this type of thing...as I've never asked anyone to sign anything! (Mainers are very strange about this type of thing) (we don't like to bother folks).

Are any of you Farmgirls going to be able to make it??

Oh, we are all so excited to meet all of you! We have quite a group going to NYC from MaryJanesFarm! And we can't wait either! And yes, please do bring your book for MaryJane to sign! She will actually be signing books at the Bookstore tent that day too. We look forward to meeting you all!

Farmgirl love,

Meg

Absolutely you can ask MaryJane to sign your book! I should think she would be thrilled to do so. The only time authors do not sign is if they are making an appearance at a bookstore and the bookstore wants the sales -- so the bookstore would place restrictions on the signing, i.e., only books purchased at that store would be signed (requiring a receipt). Oh, and if the author is J.D. Salinger -- if you find him, don't ask him to sign anything!! Do have a wonderful time in NYC -- sounds so fun!!!
