Hey there,

I subscribe to this websites newsletter and there is a festival that starts next weekend in Crystal Lake, Illinois.

It is the Midwest Fiber and Folkart Festival and it's July 20,21,22

Here's the link to it:

I sure wish I could go to this..it sounds like an awesome time to be had

Would love to hear about it if anyone winds up going to it.

Peace, Stephanie

Sounds fantastic! I'd love to go but don't have any fiber/travel budget left this year. Thanks for the link, I signed up for the program book for next year.

You should definitely go if you can! There will be awesome teachers there, and many folks willing and able to share their fiberarts knowledge with anyone willing to learn! Trust me... if you want to learn to spin or needle-felt, or are at all interested in anything having to do with fiber, this event - and the WI Sheep & Wool Festival in Jefferson - are your best bets in the area. The teachers attending this festival are top-notch and nationally recognized; the vendors are wonderful people and will help you with any questions or basic lessons.

I have met many of them personally after having gotten to know them through online fiber arts groups to which we all belong.

Enjoy!

Stephanie,
It's looks good, I think I put it on my calender for next year, I'm having a thrift sale next weekend.
So it will have to wait.
Thanks for the link
