Posted - Jan 31 2022 : 7:39:27 PM Hello all! I’m a new Farmgirl with a food strainer question. My hubby and I have Norpro strainer that we use when we are canning tomatoes, applesauce, etc. My question…Is the Squeezo strainer worth the investment? I have a neighbor who has one and swears by it. The jury is still out on the Norpro strainer. :)

Posted - Feb 01 2022 : 06:48:57 AM I have a Weston electric strainer and love it. It sure makes quick work out of canning tomato and apple sauce. I did pumpkin purée this year for the freezer and it took no time at all.
A little rain can straighten a flower stem. A little love can change a life.

Posted - Feb 01 2022 : 04:07:55 AM I have a squeezo and love it. Tomatoes is all I use it for. If you have a kitchen aid stand mixer you can get that attachment for it. I use that for small batches.

Posted - Jan 31 2022 : 9:15:18 PM Wish I could answer you....I got a Victorio strainer (very similar to Squeezo), but haven't gotten to use it yet. The only thing I do not like about mine is the plastic worm gear/drive. It is a vintage one and I only paid $5 for it, but still. I thought Squeezo was all stainless (?) and if so, that would be really nice. Is the Norpro like a circular one that fits over a bowl...like a ricer/strainer? I have an OXO like that.
