Posted - Feb 23 2020 : 10:27:57 AM Hey everybody! A friend of mine just asked if I want some kiefer grains to make my own water Kiefer or kumbacha. I'd love too but am totally lost in this area. If course I'll study a method but does anyone else make their own kiefer water or kumbacha and if so, is it very difficult or time consuming?? Thanks

Posted - Feb 23 2020 : 2:11:00 PM Ahhh, Judith! Good to know. Yes, I'll just bring it and throw it in my bread recipes. That's a good idea plus I won't be wasting it. Thank you!!

Posted - Feb 23 2020 : 10:50:05 AM I looked into making and drinking kombucha but found out it can raise blood sugar levels and can interact unfavorably with cholesterol lowering medicines. I decided that yogurt was a better choice for probiotics for me. I would grind the kiefer and add it to bread recipes.
