Posted - Jul 24 2019 : 10:37:09 AM Well, you know I love my coffee in the mornings, but I have been using commercial creamer and I am starting to get food-sensitivity-symptoms. This morning, I had fruit for breakfast and my coffee (almond milk + creamer + coffee) and, not an hour later, here are a headache and nausea, just like I had when I became sensitive to eggs.
So, if that's not TMI . . . I guess I am looking for a substitute for commercial creamer. Maybe a syrup? I can't have splenda/sucralose. Or maybe a flavoring that goes well with stevia.
What do you think? Do you have any suggestions? |

Posted - Jul 29 2019 : 6:09:39 PM Lori, I'm with you and Barbara. Started drinking it black after I gave up sugar several years ago, and after about 2 cups of black java, I never looked back. |

Posted - Jul 29 2019 : 07:24:00 AM I use good old evaporated milk with stevia. I have diabetes, so I only put about a teaspoon in per cup.

Posted - Jul 25 2019 : 9:45:17 PM Oh that is a difficult one to find a substitute. Those commercial creamers full of high fructose corn syrup and other chemicals can make some people ill. And maybe you are allergic to almonds. Also Fruit in the morning is a big enough dose of sugar and maybe paired with the sweetener in your coffee could be giving you a headache. Also coffee in some people raises glucose. Boo hoo, no real good news here. Slowly switch to decaf coffee and see if your headaches go away. I use Sweet Leaf Stevia because it only has plant fiber in it and Stevia, no dextrose like some of the stevia brands have. Good Luck! Annie
