Posted - Jan 21 2018 : 2:57:22 PM Here in north Florida, I have a big fat Satsuma orange tree in my yard that produces juicy oranges every year. We have been eating oranges daily for weeks now and enjoying every bite. My tradition is to make homemade Marmalade with MaryJane's ChillOver powder each year so that I can enjoy oranges all year long. This year, my neighbor also has this kimKwat tree in the far back yard that hangs over in to my yard. They don't use the fruit so I added a cup of them to my oranges this year for a little different change. It all turned out delicious!!

I used some today on buttermilk biscuits from the recipe in MaryJane's Cast iron cookbook. It was a delicious twosome for sure!!

Posted - Feb 03 2018 : 6:19:16 PM Winnie, your jars look like pure sunshine. I live in Florida and would LOVE to have an orange tree but I have no room. I do have a banana tree that has not yet produced bananas and we have just planted a pineapple bush. I can't wait for fruit to come in. Joey

Posted - Feb 01 2018 : 05:40:21 AM Let me chime in here. I ate the last jar of my Florida sunshine last week. It felt like I was spreading love on a piece of toast.

Posted - Jan 21 2018 : 4:09:51 PM That looks delicious Winnie! I am starting a post about jam with no sugar or pectin for small batches, maybe you could use? So gratifying when it comes from your own backyard. We have a Meyer lemon tree that we get a handful of lemons from, and I find myself saving them to the point of no return. LOL
