Hello, farmgirls!! Has anyone else checked out the newest copy of Grit magazine? There is the greatest (and easiest!!) recipe for a custard type of pie. It actually makes it's own crust!! We like it soooo much that I have had the magazine for 2 weeks and have made it three times!! I am a big fan of custard now! Yummy!!

I love egg custard pie. I may have to get a copy of Grit. Mmmmm. Yum, I can taste it now...:)

I am going to look for it. I havn't made custard pie in a couple years and I LOVE it! I tend to make it more in spring when the hens are laying really well..but it sounds good now!!

I just got that issue too! Haven't made anything yet though. I am pretty new to the mag & I really am liking it. Will have to try that recipe. Thanks!
