Posted - Jan 26 2017 : 6:19:20 PM Jana, I make ricotta cheese. It is incredibly easy to do. I have used both Ina Garten's recipe and Jennifer Perillo's (Homemade With Love). Make sure you have cheesecloth when you get ready to make it. A word of warning, once you have homemade, you'll never want to go back to the commercially made kind again!
Have fun experimenting and learning! Dawn in IL

Posted - Jan 19 2017 : 5:44:16 PM i make my own cheese. gouda, colby, moz.to name a few. Got a cheese making book and went from there. Ricki Carrole i believe is the author. I just follow the directions in her book and turns out good. I do use raw cow milk for my cheese. We like fresh cheese. we did smoke some cheese this year, and my boys really liked it. Rennet, starter and salt are the ingredients.
