Does anyone have any suggestions for some good cookbooks that have lots of step by step instructions and photos written by authors other than Ree Drummond (Pioneer Woman Cooks)?
My parent's caregivers recently came to the US from Fiji. They are absolutely loving their journey of learning to cook "American" foods. They love Ree's books because they are still trying to get familiar with our foods, spices and cooking methods. However after two months we are all ready for something new and different.
Any ideas are much appreciated.

All the Barefoot Contessa cookbooks are excellent and have excellent pictures in them. There are some great "magazines" that have seasonal recipes in ten that are great as well. Have you tried your local library yet for ideas? I like going there first before committing to buying a cookbook. My bookshelves are overflowing with them!

Thanks for the suggestions! Cooks Illustrated is a great idea. I had never thought about kids cookbooks either but yes, they might work too!

Kids cookbooks are actually some of my favorites! They are very simple to read and follow but the recipes are still really good. They would be my suggestion as well!

ET -- Might seem silly, and the foods would be basic, but how about the Betty Crocker kids' cookbooks, or Better Homes and Gardens kids' cookbooks? They have tons of pictures and lots of step-by-step. Certainly would be American food. Give them my best wishes. (And take a couple for you, too, my ET!)

The Cook's Illustrated magazine and some of their books often has lots of pictures. They test recipes, which is quite interesting.
