Does anyone own the Bentley Farm Cookbook by Virginia Williams Bentley? My mother and I are looking for a recipe from this book for a chicken dish that was served at the White House (when Kennedy was president, if I remember correctly). We tried this dish at a relative's house and it was delicious, but we don't have the cookbook and we're having a bit of trouble locating the recipe. We were thinking of it for Christmas Eve. Can anyone help?

Thank you,

- Elizabeth Ann

Elizabeth Ann,
If nobody responds, try this site for a copy of the book.

I can't really recall the particular flavors, other than that it was very nice! It was chicken breasts in a delicious sauce, and I seem to remember being told that the recipe was originally made at the White House to be taken somewhere else for a dinner, specifically because it improved in flavor when reheated. This is why we're considering it for Christmas Eve, as we are celebrating at my uncle's house and wanted to bring something that would be easy to prepare ahead of time.
