I am making roll out cookies in the shape of bunnies and I wondered if MJ's Budget Mix would be ok to use. As a baking mix, I'm never quite sure when I should use it in lieu of regular flour. Not a good cookie maker, so easy would be great if you have a recipe!~

Ashley, THANK YOU, for such a great suggestion. I have the magazine in my hand and I am going to make some tomorrow. Thanks again, Jan

Hi Janis,

I'm not sure how well Budget Mix will work for shaped cookies. Since the Budget Mix has baking soda and baking powder already in it, it doesn't really work in lieu of regular flour. I think you might have better luck with the Old-Fashioned Sugar Cookies on page 55 of the Dec/Jan 2014 issue "For Whom the Bell Jingles." They are REALLY good for shapes and super tasty.

If you don't have that issue, you can email me (Ashley@maryjanesfarm.org) and I'll see what I can do.

Thanks,

~Ashley
