I received some unwanted, never used short bread cookie molds. Do any of you that have used them have any advice? Do I season them first? Any tips and tricks? Let me know! :)

Posted - Dec 11 2013 : 10:54:47 AM I'm so glad you asked about this, April... I picked up two new shortbread molds from Salmon Falls when they were on sale earlier this fall... I've never made shortbread before, but am really excited to try for Christmas. Here's a pic of my molds (their pic - not mine):
I just fell in love with the farm animal theme when I saw them! Reminded me of my Aunt's and Uncle's farm back from when I was growing up!
If anyone would like to share their recipes or special techniques for making shortbread, I would really appreciate it!
Happy Baking!

Posted - Dec 01 2013 : 2:49:36 PM Hi April,
I have a shortbread mold that I bought from Lee Valley. I didn't need to season it, I just lightly spray it before I put the dough in. Mine has a Scottish thistle on each cookie,I really like it, I hope you will like your's too. |
