Posted - Nov 26 2013 : 7:04:26 PM I followed a recipe I found online and I think the culprit is too little sugar. Other's I read called for 4 cups, this one only called for 2.5 and 1/2 packet of certo. I used the whole packet and the sugar called for. It's basically syrup. I know that some jelly's take longer to set, but I don't think this is gonna.
How can I fix it? Can I put it back in the pot after it cools and add 2 more cups of sugar, reboil and recan and process?

Posted - Dec 10 2013 : 09:59:00 AM Yes, that is exactly what you could do to fix it. :) I had the same happen with strawberry jelly earlier this summer. I redid it up and set up quite nicely. hugs Jessie
