I just got my October/November issue or Mary Janes farm, and I really loved the section on making candy from scratch! I'm going to have to try them all, and surprise the little kids with some homemade treats on Halloween.

What are everyone's favorite candy recipes? I've only ever made my own chocolate covered pretzels before, but I love the idea of making my own sweets so I can leave out all the preservatives and junk.

Love love love potato candy. Btw needhams are made with potatoes only mix in coconut and skip the peanut butter. Dip in melted chocolate. Let harden. I think the chocolate is to have a little paraffin in it.

Believe it or not, but I still love to make old fashioned Potato candy, just like my Great Grandmother did. It's so sweet it makes my teeth hurt, but darn if it isn't addictive!!!

The candy recipes in the October/November issue of Mary Janes Farm look wonderful. I'm going to make them just because. Maybe for Christmas gifts. I have made my own candies for years, but these will be new recipes for me. Mary Jane always has such great recipes.
