Has anyone ever made them? My whole family loves homemade marshmallows but I just can't make them with regular gelatin any more. Too much nastiness in the stuff. If there are any success stories out there please share.

Yes - I just did this recently and will share my biggest lesson with you: put the ChillOver in a salt shaker type of container as recommended in one of MJB's books. Guess what I did NOT do the first time? Putting the desired amount of powder in a salt shaker and sprinkling it over the liquid evenly distributes it in the liquid and the result is significantly fewer - if any - lumps.

My first batch had some little clumps in the ChillOver/liquid mixture and silly me thought "no big deal". It was a big deal. You may end up with what are almost like grains of sand in your fluffy marshmallows if there are clumps in the ChillOver/liquid portion of things.

Second lesson: have the right-sized utensil for stirring the ChillOver. I used the recommended size pan but had a whisk that was not huge but was simply too big for that pan, and the end result was it did not incorporate things very well. So that was thing #2 that resulted in clumps.

My second batch was an order of magnitude better than the first in terms of texture.
