I have read and reread an article about kombucha tea. Do any of Farmgirls make and use this?

Today, I bottled up my first batch, I put in some ginger pieces, because I like ginger beer and the kombucha I bought for my starter Scoby reminder me of ginger beer. I bought 2 gallon jars with plastic spigots and one is organic green tea and the other is organic black tea. I put the mother scoby in one and the baby scoby in the other, it was fun to hold the big one and look at it. I have switched over and am going to try the continuous brew method, it looks easier to me. Keep your fingers crossed first tasting is Saturday

I put about 1/3 cup frozen blackberry's, 2 thin slices fresh ginger and 20 to 25 drops Stevia liquid to 1 quart of finished Kombucha. Love it! I make mine in a 2 gallon glass jar with spout that I bought at Walmart.

Started my scooby from a store-bought raw, organic, unfiltered, unflavored bottle of kumbucha on 7/20, scooby is the size of the bottom of the quart jar. Brewed my starter tea this morning and just finished moving the Scooby and starter fluid into a gallon jar. My internet gleanings say start tasting in 7-10 days. You know I will start on day 7 (8/10). I plan to go to the Goodwill store today and see if they have any of those sun tea jars, with the plastic spigot. I saw a YouTube piece where they were being used and it looks simpler than pouring out, which is what the jar I have now will entail. Onward and upward, a new adventure:0)

I bought a bottle at Kroger and liked it - I would love some more information about making it myself.

I've had mine going about 6 years now. I really notice if I don't drink it for a day. I have 1 1/2 gallons. And I sell it at the market too.

My hubby and children love love love kombucha! I'm not such a big fan :/ I would much rather water kefir! Both however, as well as yogurt kefir, are GREAT for your system!!! With that said, I do know how to "brew" it, if anyone is interested in more information or websites.

Yes, I just now am brewing the sweet tea mixture. I drink about 2 cups per day. I flavor it with blackberries & ginger. I drink it diluted 50/50 with water. My digestion has greatly improved and my immune system too!
