Ok my mother made this coffee for her dad many moons ago. She told Mr about it so I thought I'd try it...

Fill your coffee cup with water put it in a pan and bring it to a boil. Our a serving of fresh coffee grounds in 2 layers of cheese cloth. Tie off ends so coffee doesn't get out. When water comes to a full rolling boil put cheese cloth with coffee in it and boil for about 2 minutes. Remove cheese cloth. Fill your cup half way with coffee and half with milk or cream. I promise you won't need sugar or sweetbreads.

Only thing is you don't steep it. It's boiled. I don't know much about folgers singles.

I am a coffee lover...and this sounds interesting. Reminds me of the coffee singles by Folgers that are in a tea bag...and you can either microwave the bag in water..or bring water to a boil and steep the bag for a few minutes in the cup of hot water. I like my afternoon coffee made in a press...reminds me of the peculators that my Mom and Aunt used to make coffee over the campfire or stove. Coffee with half and half is my favorite....all this coffee talk is making me want a cup...lol. Erica:)
