Posted - Feb 01 2013 : 07:43:01 AM Thanks for the website. I will check it out. If you're interested I found a great website:
www.wellnessmama.com
It's full of recipes and articles about going no grain. The chocolate cookies are great!
On the side note - too bad you didn't make it to Wapak. If you get a chance some day stop in. The Neil Armsrtong meusem is right off I-75 and 33. And historical downtown Wapak is full of antique shops!

Heather...we are mostly gluten free and I'm trying to convince hubby to go grain free as well, but I just found this great website the other day that has paleo recipes and helps with meal planning and even grocery lists for free.

Off topic, the first thing I saw when I opened this post is where you were from. I had never even heard of it until yesterday when we actually just drove right past your town on our way to Great Wolf Lodge in Mason :) We almost stopped there for our lunch but didn't make it past St. Mary's before someone had to go potty desperately...LOL

Posted - Jan 30 2013 : 2:44:22 PM We've gone gluten free since Jan 1st. I'm leaning towards grain free now. I just made a really good beef stew in the crockpot, yesterday was a chicken dish in the crockpot with hominy & a cilantro sauce, Monday was a triple layer "cheeseburger" - again in the crockpot. I've been serving more veggies as side dishes - I did before but now I'm serving more in substitution of grain dishes. We ate a lot of rice, pasta, couscous etc before.
