Posted - Jan 23 2013 : 7:32:53 PM I literally just learned about this book/concept this week, thanks to a Pinterest post that led me to the wonderful Nourishing Gourmet blog. With Ric's ongoing stomach issues, he has difficulty eating three proper meals a day. So, it seems sensible to make what he CAN eat as nutrient-dense and synergistic as possible.
I wondered if any farmgirls had tried this book and idea? How well did it work? Hat concerns or suggestions do you have?

Posted - Feb 04 2013 : 8:38:16 PM I love nourishing traditions which has led me to soaked/fermented/soured. Although right now I'm giving the Wahls Diet a go. Her TEDx talk was inspirational on how directed nutrition can heal: www.youtube.com%2Fwatch%3Fv%3DKLjgBLwH3Wc&ei=qowQUYz7EofC9gS8w4HACQ&usg=AFQjCNEt0oiU2plNr0LancskibmUcR4Hfg&sig2=bnkwSb6yETw8pMUVhdifng&bvm=bv.41867550,d.eWU" target="_blank">https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=1&cad=rja&ved=0CDQQtwIwAA&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.youtube.com%2Fwatch%3Fv%3DKLjgBLwH3Wc&ei=qowQUYz7EofC9gS8w4HACQ&usg=AFQjCNEt0oiU2plNr0LancskibmUcR4Hfg&sig2=bnkwSb6yETw8pMUVhdifng&bvm=bv.41867550,d.eWU |

Posted - Jan 24 2013 : 06:42:35 AM See, that's my dream...but Ric has anxiety attacks if he is too far from "civilization," so it has to wait. I hope to grow more veggies at least, and clean out our diet.
I am becoming familiar with Dr. Price's work, so I will have to check that out! Thanks!

Posted - Jan 23 2013 : 8:40:48 PM Yes,yes, yes. Sally Gallons books have saved me intense intestional pain and helped me and my husband get our health back. We have eliminated all processed foods and started to eat whole ,real foods and have gone gluten free.my husbands gut pain is gone as well as bloating, gas and he feels better than he has in years. Also ,go onto the Weston A price Foundation and read what they say about Sally Fallons books. I live by her theory. It's saved us. Needless to say, we bought a house on two acres so we can grow our food now. All organic. I get raw milk to drink, make homemade cheese,Keifr, yogurt, butter, ice cream, and sour cream. Our goal us to grow our food and get rid if the grocery store as much as possible.
