Posted - Jan 08 2013 : 6:22:01 PM Hello, I am new here and not sure if I'm in the right chat area so please let me know if there is another place I am supposed to be.
I was wondering if anyone happens to have a recipe for Watermelon Rind Preserves? My mother made them every year when I was a kid. Unfortunately, I was never interested in learning canning and preserving when I was young and so I have no idea how she did it. She was a wonderful cook and canning and preserving was one thing she loved most. She also was one of those "a pinch of this" and a "dash of that" type cook so what I do remember seeing her do would not even be close.
I have searched all of her recipes and cookbooks and haven't found a recipe one. I have bought and looked in every canning/preserving books I find and haven't come across one either.
It would be deeply appreciated if anyone would share their recipe with me.
Wishing you all a blessed day, Carol Ann-sister #4737
