Posted - Oct 22 2012 : 11:28:13 AM I decided to try my hand at making an apple pie for one. I wanted to make them and freeze them, so that they could be baked at a later time. I made twelve and they seem to have turned out ok. We baked a couple of them, and they were good, but a little dry. Next time I will add a spoonful of applesauce to the mix.
First pic is raw, going into the freezer. Second pic is baked pies. They were tasty.

Posted - Oct 22 2012 : 6:04:37 PM This year has been a good year for experimenting. We had a windfall of apples on our trees and decided that it was a good time for new things. We've made apple butter, applesauce, apple fritters and apple leather. It's been fun trying different things.
