Hi again,

Just treated myself to the idiots guide to Jams, jellies and preserves.

My problem is that I do not know what the equivalent for a cup is in either pounds and ounces or grammes.

Can anyone help this poor british girl.

Swampie Sue

Hi Susan,

If this helps, 1 pound = 454 grams or conversely...1 kilo = 2.2 pounds.
And...1 cup = 250 ml.
I know exactly what you're going through. All recipes printed in Canada are in metric, but US recipes still have imperial measurements.

Hi thanks,

Sorry it's taken so long to get back to you. I had to get a new hard drive for my computer.
