Just saw this video on Yahoo, apparently some restaurants are taking stew meat, using a "meat glue" & forming it into a filet. So that fancy expensive cut may be nothing more than stew meat. The scariest part is if it is ordered rare or med rare, the inside may contain contamination, due to the stew meat being overhandled.

Oh my GOSH! That's OUR local news station! How did I miss this!!!????

That's really gross... I can't believe they can get away with stuff like this! We rarely eat out anymore for several reasons, but this one definitely is going to the top of the list! Thank you for letting us know, about this Lisa!

And what the heck IS that pink slime, anyway? I've only seen it once, but it was enough to make me stop shopping at that particular store!

It's probably the same stuff as pink slime. That's just plain gross. Guess I'll stick with steaks at home when I can afford it.

That definitly makes you think- doesn't it! I always wondered how they got deli meat and stuff to stick together- I bet it is a variation on the same thing- another reason why I don't eat deli meat! Anything that has been chopped up and then re-combined in new and creative ways is a bit weird.

Ewwwwwwww! I'm glad that I don't eat out that often and never order meat if I can help it. That is disgusting!
