Posted - Apr 05 2012 : 05:11:43 AM all the research you do swings one way or the other, it beef just eat it or is pink slim.... Im with the Pink slime.... anything that is washed in chemicals to make it safe is wrong, but that me. around me 9 out of 10 farmers are unaware of what actually happens with the chemicals that they spray on their crops, but you cant drink the water out of their own wells, i see something wrong with that, and dont know how it would be different with the beef stuff. I think that i will keep raising small animals for my freezer as natural as i can. Thanks for the support, dont get much from the people who only watch tv ads, or listen to the radio.
One more around here is trying to convince everyone except farmers (they got them already) is that high fructose corn syrup is the same as table sugar.... but thats like saying margin and real butter are the same..... or did i miss the boat

Posted - Apr 04 2012 : 7:30:24 PM It has gotten a lot of attention here in Montana and a lot of the stores have made firm statements saying they either never have used meats that had it in there or have stopped ordering from suppliers that do. Personally I think it is gross and I won't eat it. Yuck!

Posted - Apr 04 2012 : 6:54:29 PM I think it is also pork and other meats, not just beef. YOu could try doing some online research and see what info you get. I don't think it is fine, and it is a matter of supporting your local growers, etc. |
