My mother inlaw has a large jug of aloe vera juice, she's had it for a long time and has never opened it. I think it is more for medicinal purposes. Does anyone know of any uses for it, or if it would be and good yet?

I use Aloe when I shave my legs instead of shaving cream. Also according to family testimonies it soothes cuts, helps promote bruise healing, gets rid of dandruff and athletes foot.

I saw on a blog you can use it for a mouthwash. It had several other ingredients with it, but Aloe Vera Juice was one of the main ones. Here's the link:

It soothes an irritated gut. I also use it for dry skin and a hair rinse on occasion. I also mix it with water to spray the reptiles. In my experience an expiration date is just a suggestion to go and buy a newer version of said product after this date. If it smells funky, tastes funky, feels funky and you're not sure, then don't use it. But if it seems ok, I use stuff way past the date.

Thanks, I'll let her know that. I'm sure there are many other uses for it too.

I'm not sure if it's still good, but I thought I heard someone say they drink it for heartburn??
