I'm not sure if this is a MJF recipe or a Weight Watchers recipe but have any of you heard of this? My husband made them last night and although I would like them a little sweeter, they were cakey chewy and GOOD. 1 box brownie mix and 1 15oz can of black beans and their juice. THAT"S ALL. Blend the beans till smooth, pour in 1/2 mix and blend together and repeat. Pour into 8x8 pan and bake at 350 for 25-30 mins. YUM!! and healthier too, I think. Joey

A co-worker made them and brought them into work. They were gone in a flash and everyone agreed they were quite tasty!

I just read this in the back of a Better Homes and Garden mag (February) and I thought, "????" Based on the fact that my husband and daughter can consume a pan of Ghiradelli brownies in under 20 minutes, I'm going to pass, based on all of your comments :)

OH!

I tried the recipe from scratch. Not too impressive. Too bean-y in texture, but ok flavor

Might try the pre mix and can of beans next time

I like to experiment , expecially since hubby want to eat healthier (most of the time) but really, if I want a brownie, I'm probably going to reach for my trusty box of Betty especially if it involves a potluck

Sounds wonderful. I've made fudge with pinto beans before, but never black bean brownies; going to try this :)

Tried them

Very interesting but would want to watch someone else make them who is a seasoned pro

I made the from scratch version last week and they came out good! Yours sound easier, but it only took
a few minutes to whip them up with an emersion blender.

I've heard about them, as well as black bean cupcakes, but have not tried them yet.
