Posted - Mar 09 2012 : 09:38:37 AM An old family favorite:
2 eggs slightly beaten add: 1 3/4 C milk
sift: 1 c flour 2 1/2 t dbl. act. baking powder (high alt. 2 t) 1 T sugar 1/2 t salt 1 c cornmeal
combine with eggs/milk add: 1/4 melted butter (or bacon grease) 1 c chopped crispy bacon
cook like a regualr waffle
Makes approx. 20 4x4 waffles (my griddle is old an small)
These freeze well and makes for a quick "toaster breakfast".
I hope you like these as much as my family, ENJOY!
