Posted - Feb 03 2012 : 07:35:42 AM Today we are having a blizzard, with snow, wind and cold, I love it! So, I have just put a nice pork roast, potatoes, carrots and onions in the Crock Pot should start smelling real good before too long. I will also make a Butter Pecan Cake for Dessert, can not have a good meal with out a delicious dessert. How is the weather in your neck of the woods and what will be your plate for supper tonight? Enjoy your day Farmgirl Sisters. Farmgirl Hugs, Deb

Posted - Feb 03 2012 : 07:48:05 AM That sounds awesome--did you use a pork loin roast, or pork shoulder roast? Any seasoning with it? And, how about that recipe for that butter pecan cake!?

Posted - Feb 03 2012 : 07:44:18 AM While I was in Southern California visiting my DS, DDIL, and DGD, I did a lot of cooking. It is amazing to cook for more than one person and to have them appreciate and enjoy it. We had fried chicken--mashed potatoes & gravy--green beans a couple of times and then I made the most delicious pulled BBQ pork in the crock pot. We had that a couple of times also. The weather in So. Cal. was wonderful and warm.j
