Arrrggghh it contains Soy flour Unfortunately that is a HUGE no no for me. I have found so many wonderful recipes for both almond flour and coconut flour, my Hubby and I love them. Of course, I am not baking for kids either Thank you so much for checking!

I grabbed Devils Food Cake from the pantry, so here's what it says "Sugar, rice flour, potato starch, cocoa processed with alkali, tapioca starch, leavening (baking soda, sodium acid pyrophosphate, monocalcium phosphate), salt, guar gum, soy flour".

I've found the mixes at all of our grocery stores, even WalMart, so they are widely available. Which I like. Plus, Betty does all the hard work for me, and I can get excellent results every time. I have tried all kinds of "from scratch" gluten free recipes - most of which either failed miserably or tasted horrible (or both), made with very expensive, hard-to-find ingredients. I have tried almond flour and coconut flour recipes, and you can taste what they are made from (at least we could). I never got a plain and simple "yum" from my family, usually just a "it's pretty good for almond flour" followed by a discreet spitting out into the trash when they thought I wasn't watching.

I used to be a wonderful baker. I could not bake gluten free. Betty has given me my inner baker back, and for that I am grateful.

I don't advocate a steady diet of desserts of any kind, but if I need them, or someone else does, I want to be sure that I'm going to get cupcakes and not compost.

I have been meaning to ask you what are the ingredients of the Betty Crocker's gluten free cake mix, and some of the other mixes you use? I only use Almond flour and coconut flour for my Gluten free baking, maybe I can expand my horizons a bit more.
