Hey gals, I have been looking for crock pot/slow cooker recipes, and came across this blog. I personally am not Gluten free. But, the recipes look great regaurdless, and she has two cook books. I'm going to try several of her recipes that I pinned to my pintrest and see what I think. If I really love them, I will probably buy her books. Although her site seems to have all the book recipes, but to me seems it would be easier to navigate a book then her blog. But, that's just the way my brain works. I like books. lol

I made the honey beans with spinach last night. Came out all right though I did substitute frozen zucchini.

Yes, she does, but she has a recipe in one of them for making your own "cream of" soups (I think it's the first book), and also you can get GF cream soups - I get mine at whole foods. They have cream of mushroom and cream of chicken. It's Pacific brand. Cream soup is really just a fancy gravy that you make with milk, so making your own GF from scratch isn't that hard.

Last week, on the blog we did a Broccoli Beef in the crock pot for Chinese New Year and Princess Makes It Monday. It was from her book, and it was one of those "where has this recipe been all my life!" moments. There are definitely more winners than losers.

Good luck!

I'll check that out Ann. I was getting scared to buy her books cause she has a lot of bad reviews on Amazon. I'm not sure why. I found another book (not gluten free, like I said I'm not gf, but want to use crock pot more! lol) that gets really good reviews across the board. I was starting to get worried with all of Stephanies bad reviews! I am still going to try some of her recipes, and yes I will check out your blog. I think I will also get the Farm Wives crock pot book. I want whole foods type recipes. One thing though I am leery about with Steph's reviews is one "bad" reviewer said that she called for canned cream of soups, I almost know that has to be untrue cause of being gf! So it's hard to know what to believe on those reviews! lol Thanks for commenting and letting me know you liked them.

BTW, which ones are your favorites?

She actually has 2 books now, and I own them both. They are AWESOME! We have found several recipes in them that we all love, and I'm using them to help teach my DD how to cook. I also post gluten free recipes up on my blog (some of which come from Stephanie's books) if you are interested.
