Does anyone have a recipe for home made granola bars? Not granola cereal. But bars that you could cut your self and wrap may be in plastic wrap or wax paper.

Jill, thanks! I believe that bag is going to one of our FarmGirls!

Dorinda, I hope you can read these images. If not, let me know. These date bars are terrific, but a little too sweet. I've cut back on the amount of sugar I've used. You can substitute granola for some of the oatmeal as well which might make it less sweet. This recipe came from Grit Magazine several years ago. I just love dates in cereal bars, and they are really good for you.

Pressing everything firmly together while you are layering in the ingredients makes the bars hold together better once they have been baked.

Dorinda, Do you have Mary Jane's Ideabook? She has a recipe for Pemmican on page 256 that might just be the thing you are looking for.

I have made these several times from Ina Garten, "Barefoot Contessa". They are fabulous!
