SAw a food/meat grinder at the resale today. Some of the of circlual parts which I think were blades were rusty. Are they still good ? What can I clean them up with? Going back in the am to buy if can repair.

if the metal is not pitted with rust, most likely you can clean them up with a baking soda paste and some very light brushing with fine steele wool...
