Posted - Jan 13 2012 : 05:57:26 AM We have a Jack Lalane and we love ours, too. Haven't really paid much attention to the foam issue, but definitely will from here on out. Some favorite combos in our house are carrot-pineapple-ginger (tastes like carrot cake in a glass), apple-celery-romaine lettuce (tastes like Waldorf salad), we also LOVE watermelon strawberry. It's especially good with homegrown moon-n-stars watermelon that you grow from Baker Creek seeds.

Posted - Jan 12 2012 : 6:13:51 PM I have a GreenLife which I think has been renamed the GreenStar and I love it. It does not foam at all and is slower than others so that all enzymes and vitamins remain. I use it in the Spring, when our spring apples come in, to make lots of apple juice. But watermelon and strawberry is good too!

Posted - Jan 11 2012 : 4:46:02 PM We have a Breville--the kind you can stuff an entire apple into and literally get nothing but dried pulp and lots of juice!
I like how you can skim the foam off. But really there isn't much at all. It will juice an entire bag of carrots on seconds
It is super loud but really powerful.

Posted - Jan 09 2012 : 5:20:21 PM I've got a Jack LaLane also and really like it. The little bit of foam I've seen usually settles down, about like pouring a coke into a cup is what it makes me think of. Do you use the pulp for any other recipes? The juicer that my dad has came with a recipe book for the pulp but he can't find it since I want to hijack it.

Posted - Jan 09 2012 : 07:37:21 AM The Champion does foam, but I've always just considered that a part of the drink. If you let it set for a few minutes, 5 at the most, a lot of it dissipates.

The foamy part of our centrifigal juicer is the least favorite part and it's a pain. pain. pain to filter off!
