I would like to make my own apple cider vinegar. Any recipes and or advice, would be appreciated.
Thanks,

Posted - Dec 13 2011 : 6:17:47 PM I tried this back when we made apple cider. I tried 2 different ways and they both flopped. I used the peels of the apples and did plain water in one 1/2 gallon jar and added sugar to another jar. The plain one got fruit flies inside at the top. I had cheesecloth on both of them too. Anyway, it was disgusting. Somewhere there is a recipe from Little House on the Prairie for home made ACV. I think I'll stick to Bragg's.
