Posted - Dec 08 2011 : 09:15:41 AM Hubby and I are looking to get a food processor. This will be our Christmas gift to each other. But looking through the stores there are so many, and I have a hard time knowing what is a good machine and what will break quickly. What kinds do you have? Do you like them? Would you buy it again? Any advice is appreciated.
thanks, Laurie

Posted - Dec 09 2011 : 06:31:03 AM I'm "fifthing" the Cuisinart. I've had mine for 10 years or more--even after our beagle chewed the cord all the way up to back. A friend replaced it and off I go again, using it just like before. I wouldn't consider getting any other brand!

Posted - Dec 08 2011 : 12:36:46 PM I vote for Cuisinart too! I have had two cheaper ones and the bowls cracked after about a year.

Posted - Dec 08 2011 : 10:57:10 AM I have had my Cuisinart since I got married (the first time) over 20 years ago. I would love to have one of the newer ones since I have heard they have some improvements, but mine still works just fine. |

Posted - Dec 08 2011 : 09:35:20 AM I love my Cuisinart. It's strong, kneads stiff bread dough very nicely, and all the dirty parts can go in the dishwasher. You can also buy replacement parts if need be. I would definitely purchase again.
