Hubby and I are looking to get a food processor. This will be our Christmas gift to each other. But looking through the stores there are so many, and I have a hard time knowing what is a good machine and what will break quickly. What kinds do you have? Do you like them? Would you buy it again? Any advice is appreciated.

thanks,
Laurie

I'm "fifthing" the Cuisinart. I've had mine for 10 years or more--even after our beagle chewed the cord all the way up to back. A friend replaced it and off I go again, using it just like before. I wouldn't consider getting any other brand!

I vote for Cuisinart too! I have had two cheaper ones and the bowls cracked after about a year.

I have had my Cuisinart since I got married (the first time) over 20 years ago. I would love to have one of the newer ones since I have heard they have some improvements, but mine still works just fine.

I love my Cuisinart. It's strong, kneads stiff bread dough very nicely, and all the dirty parts can go in the dishwasher. You can also buy replacement parts if need be. I would definitely purchase again.
