Posted - Nov 21 2011 : 07:38:57 AM I was wondering if rice flour is just like brown rice ground up? I was wanting to try a bread recipe using rice flour and was wondering if that's all it is before I grind some. And if it needs something else with it, like maybe some whole wheat or bread flour? Thanks.

Posted - Nov 21 2011 : 08:47:54 AM I have a Grain master Whisper Mill. I just ground 1 cup of brown rice and almost 2 cups of soft white wheat. I made a recipe using 3 cups of flour, 1/4 tsp. yeast, 1 1/4 tsp. salt and 1 1/2- 1 3/4 cups of water. I had about 3 1/4 cups flour and used all the water and it was really wet so I added about a cup of bread flour. I never had to do that before. I hope it turns out good. It's the best easiest bread recipe I've ever made. It sits out for 12-18 hours before baking. I'll let ya know tomorrow if it works using the wheat and rice flours.
