So I bought at a whole foods grocery Dried Kifer grains, made up the first batch but I am confused as to the next batch. What do I do heat milk cool it off for every batch. Or do I just add milk and culture. Or is what I bought a one time use and I make new every 4/5 days? according to packaged directions.

I do, right now I'm down in supply but as soon as I get them built back up I will be happy to send you some if you like? Just let me know. I'm not sure how long it will take, the weather change always confuses the little buggers..lol..

No Penny you have not confused me. It makes sense I was thinking that is the way it was going to work but had to ask the question. Do you ever sell or barter your Milk Kifer grains?

If you got it from a whole food store, I believe it is a one time use. I have heard people say they can save some of it and put it in the next batch and that they can do that for about 4 or 5 times. I've never bought from a whole food store. I got my grains for an individual. Mine continue to make everyday when I add fresh milk and the grains look like little cauliflowers...hope this helps...if I have now totally confused you, (I've been told I'm good at that.lol) I will try to straighten myself out...lol...
