My husband called me a farmgirl today and thinking about it I really was. I had a very good day. I harvested some turnips, radishes, cukes, zukes, tomatoes, eggplant and lots of green beans. I came in and washed them made a gallon of ice tea for the fridge and got down to business. I have three quarts of freshly blanched italian green beans sitting in the freezer, turnips ready to be diced and blanched for soups all winter. Now we are figuring out what cucumber recipe we will be using and stopping at the store for some canning jars. We have a pleasant rain, DD is out with friends, DS#1 is playing WII, DS#2 after a really bad day yesterday, a trip to the emergency room and being up for over 36 hours is taking a nap. We pulled out some soup from the deep freeze so no big work for dinner. What more can I ask for a Saturday.

Hope everyone else is having a good day and a great long weekend.

God bless,

Judy

Oh wow, Judy! Glad that he got to the ER when he did! And great that the bus driver knew something was wrong. :) I hope that he never has an issue with those meds again. You are all in my thoughts. :)

My farmgirl day consisted of cutting up my apples and strainig them for my apple jelly. Can't wait until Monday to get started on that. I'm glad your son is better too. My prayers are with you. We have a nephew who has Aspergers also. That is not easy to deal with. His little sister has cancer. Please remember them in your prayers.

DS#2 is on a lot of medication for Aspergers and Bi-polar. One of the medications built up and gave his a dystolic reaction. His neck muscles stiffened and twisted his head to the side, because of that his breathing got really bad and was almost not breathing when he got home. He was so bad that the transportation company for the school bus called and had my husband meet him at the bus stop. My husband got him in the house, called 911 and me at work. DS#2 did not even complain about getting an IV. After some meds in his IV he started to untwist and the oxygen he had helped him breath better. We took him home 3 hours later. He tried to sleep on one couch last night with my husband on the other couch. We have kept our eyes on him always since this happened. The thoughts that crossed my mind while driving to the hospital, no parent should think of. His shrink was on the phone with us at least 4 times while we were in the ER and we will be seeing her early this coming week to decide what to do next.

God bless,

Judy

Farmgirl, indeed! Glad to hear it was such a lovely and productive day. What happened to DS#2 that landed him in the ER, if I can ask? I hope he is ok now!
