Posted - Aug 31 2011 : 5:19:20 PM I have just begun renting a farmhouse that has a wonderful gas cooktop set into a big oak work table. It's great but there's no room for my stove/oven range and so we are planning to build a small outside "kitchenhouse" later this fall to be able to bake and can on. But in the meantime, I have been so sad not being able to bake any bread or desserts.
Does anyone have any ideas or recipes on how I could go about making breads on the stove top? Also, we have a slow cooker, if there is a way to do it in that?
Thanks! |

Posted - Aug 31 2011 : 5:41:31 PM Hi, The only thing I know to do is to look for a used "Bread Machine" they work great - not as good as in the oven, but will sure make your home smell great and the bread is really good too. I have one that is 18 years old and still going strong. I see them all the time at Thrift stores. Just ask to see if it is working.
