I came across this recipe and I want to try it out this year! I plan on making some next week. I was wondering if anyone else has made this combination?

Here is the recipe:
8 cups blueberries
2 cups sugar
1 pack pectin
1/4 cup lemon juice
1/2 cup chopped fresh basil

Make like regular blueberry jam but hold off on adding the basil until the last minute before removing the jam from heat. Wait 5 minutes to prevent fruit float, skim off any foam and put in jars, process 10 minutes in hot water bath canner.

I bet it would be wonderful!
I have made several different jams, butters and marmalades with unusual ingredients.
I have made Peach/ Lavender butter, Strawberry balsamic vinegar jam, cherry/ lemon thyme marmalade,
fig and thyme jam, cranberry juniper sauce. They have all turned out beautifully! Nven my hubby liked them, and he is reluctant to try anything weird.

It sounds really interesting. I'd like to hear how others like it. I'm not sure my husband would go for the basil, he'd probably think it was too weird.
