When I was a kid my mom made some sweet pickle slices. The skin on them was still dark green after pickling and they had a sweet syrup. She only made them once because we gobbled them down way too fast for her liking! I looked in Blue Book and found that all of the sweet recipes require brining and that usually bleaches the color of the cucmber skin, so I really do not think it is any of those recipes.....

Anyway, I am looking for this recipe if anyone has something that sounds like it?
