The weather here has been so mild and cold this summer that most cucumbers were killed in the last frost we had in June. This makes homemade pickles a little hard. :)

Anyone used those thin European cucumbers from the store with any luck? I have an oraganic variety on sale right now but I don't want them to turn to mush or have poor flavor.
