Farmgirls stop by my blog to see the recipe for my Gooey Butter Cookies. They are so simple to make and they are delicious, a great recipe for the kiddos to help with.
If you try the cookies make sure you post a comment on my blog and let me know what you think. Thanks so much.
Enjoy.

Debbie

Would love to try this recipe but the only boxed cake mix I have is a Red Velvet Cake - do you think that would work???

Isn't that funny! I got the recipe from my niece who lives in St. Louis, and thought she made up the recipe from the Gooey Butter Cake recipe. I have not used another cake mix flavor as I always she loved it the way it was. I will have to try that.
I was born and raised in St. Louis MO but now live in Colorado, and miss Gooey Butter Cake, White Castles and Steak n Shake. But, Steak n Shake is coming to our area so I am so happy.

Good Morning all!! Debbie that is the same recipe I use. I do it also with different cake mix flavors, my kids favorite was Lemon or Chocolate. Always make them for Christmas.
