I was hungry for something that tasted like spring and tried these lemon bars. So Good, I had to make another batch the next day. Use real butter and fresh lemons. They are to die for!

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

I LOVE lemon bars! Yum! My mom has a lemon tree in her yard (She lives in California) that I grew up taking lemons off of and giving bag after bag away to friends-lemon custard, lemon bars, lemonade-we made as much as we could out of those lemons! Now that I live in KY and don't have access to fresh off the tree lemons I really miss it!

Janie, we make your lemon dessert, only we make it with chocolate pudding and call it 4 layer delight. Everyone loves it!

After you make that lemon blueberry bar, be sure and post the recipe.

Hey Diane,

Made them and they are wonderful! Lemon is my favorite! Of course I rarely meet a food I don't like, haha. Thank you for sharing. I like the Three Too Many Cooks and will go back to that site just to see what they are doing next so thanks again Farmgirl!

Have you ever made that lemon dessert with the similar crust that includes nuts, and then has a cream cheese layer, then lemon pudding then cool whip...it's awesome too, although I have resolved to never using cool whip again, so not good with the hydrogenated stuff in it, I use real whipping cream now instead.

I also have a lemon blueberry bar I have been meaning to make that sounds very similar, I hear lemon and blueberry really go together well, I've had lemon blueberry muffins that were oh so good. Ok, now I'm on a lemon kick, and have gained 2lbs at the gym since Monday, I gotta stop this foodie thing!!! : )

I have made this recipe for years and yes it is one that you will be sharing the recipe with those that taste it. I have had people that don't care for lemon bars want it.

Diane, I am saving this to make later. My SIL just died this past weekend. She always made these for the family reunion every year. I so looked forward to it so I could have some of her lemon bars. I will miss her. Thanks for the recipe.

Kris
