I usually only made this recipe for my dog and dogs that belong to friends for Christmas. Yesterday I was reading the box of treats I give to my dog everyday.. yuck! What is that stuff??!! So I have pledged to care for my dog as I would my family and make his treats all the time! Here is a very simple peanut butter cookie recipe for your 4 legged friend!

2 Cups whole wheat flour
1 tbsp. baking powder
1 cup peanut butter (crunchy or smooth)
1 cup milk

Preheat the over to 375. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and baking powder. In a separate bowl, combine milk and peanut butter until well mixed. Add peanut mixture to flour mixture and combine to form a soft dough. You may roll it out onto a lightly floured surface 1/4 inch think and cut with cookie cutters, or you may roll them into balls and flatten them with the bottom of a glass. Place on a greased cookie sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes.

My dog LOVES them!
Warning! They smell amazing while they are cooking.. but not very tasty for us humans! I promised my kids that I would make a batch for them to enjoy...with a tad bit of sugar!

Your welcome Tara! It is so fast and easy to whip up a batch as I'm running low and I'm guessing you could even freeze them if you wanted to double the recipe!

Thank you for this recipe. I have been looking for it. When everyone said their dogs loved the cookies so much I really wanted to make them for my dog. She is such a sweet thing and I want to give her something she will love to eat. I am going to bake up a bunch today. :)
