I have my Great Aunt's 1943 edition. It has a recipe for vanilla ice cream with egg yolks, does that sound right?

oh thanks, i am hoping for vanilla custard type ice cream. i am thinking i had found it years ago in there. not sure if used eggs or not. i have a ice cream freezer machine and the cow milk so want to try the recipe in joy of cooking. thank you sherrye
