I am helping a friend get rid of cookbooks that he no longer wants due to the death of his wife. She read recipe books the way others read novels. I have looked at so many current cookbooks in the last few days I have finally overdone the reading. I have taken 3 huge boxes to the thrift, and have another 3 to take tommorrow, and I'm still not done. Bless her heart, I miss her. Last week I was going to ask what everyones current (other than M janes) cookbook is, now today, forgive me but I don't know if I want to know.

If he reads, you could list the cookbooks on Paperbackswap.com for him. They would have to be mailed out when someone selects them but then he'd have lots of credits to select books he likes. Also, cookbooks are great sellers at most Friends of Library sales. In most towns, you can just drop them off at the library and they'll use them in the library or pass them on to the Friends organization to sell.
