Yesterday was a great kitchen day. Happened upon some wonderful granola recipes on here and decided to whip up my first batch of granola. It turned out really good! I snacked on it yesterday and had it w/ milk this morning for breakfast. Yum!

Then I whipped up my first batch of hummus. I <3 hummus. I need to do some tweaking. It's just plain hummus and its a little too garlicy and I need to add something to it to give it a kick. Any suggestions? But very excited about getting it made.

Then to round out my day I may Snickerdoodle's for my guy. I'd be lieing if I said I didn't enjoy a couple nice warm cookies out of the oven. Mmmm.

Today I'm making twinkie cupcakes decorated up for Valentine's Day.

I love weekends in the kitchen! :)

Sounds like you had a lovely Saturday! Mine was blessed because my son came for a visit from the western part of the state. Made a Valentine's/Birthday dinner for him of chicken and steamed veggies tossed with a creamy white wine/garlic/thyme/lemon/cream sauce and bowtie pasta. Homemade Italian bread and a salad made it complete. Homemade pancakes this morning. Now he's off back to the wild, wild west. :-)
