When I was growing up, there was an older dear woman who lived beside me, Sadie.
I can remember helping her make refrigerator fruit cake for several years for Christmas.
Don't quite remember everything that went in it but know the "batter" was made with graham crackers, butter and sugar. Sadly Sadie passed away years ago and I never thought to get that recipe. Can anyone share it with me?

A no bake fruit cake...interesting!! I have a recipe that my great aunt always made with blackberry wine.

I think it is also fun to "try" out recipes and not during the holidays. That seems like when some of my recipes don't come out just right. January seems like a perfect time and February to play around in the kitchen with any kind of dessert or something else and say that you made it with love.

Teresita, you are so right! There must be hundreds of "bad" fruitcake recipes out there. But I just love it, and my brother-in-law would fight me for the last piece! I was just kidding about the three people. I'm sure there are actually a lot of us! I think I'm going to have to try this recipe out - maybe this weekend.

I happen to love marshmallows. So making a no-bake fruitcake with marshmallows is something that I would love to make.

It's after Christmas but yummy isn't only belonging to the holidays.

Now you know, Majorie, that there are more than 3 people who like fruitcake! I am glad to be another person and I know there are more farmgirls too who also might enjoy fruitcake! Sometimes we make a fruitcake or get given a fruitcake and don't like it. So we say we don't like fruitcake. Fruitcake gets a bad rap. But like anything, it's all in how you like at all and how it was made.

I thought I was one of three people who actually liked fruitcake! LOL! This no-bake version sounds delicious. I'll have to give it a try. Thanks for posting the recipe link.
